We posted the video to Mayer Hawthorne’s new ode-to-Detroit single “A Long Time” a couple weeks ago and since then its become a staple in my current music rotation. That being said, I have mixed feelings to hear that song ass-raped by two Canadian dudes on this remix from Chromeo. It’s exactly how you would expect a Chromeo remix of this song to sound like, so enjoy, if you can. But needless to say, for better or worse, we should expect more of this kind of thing from Mayer now that he has hit the mainstream. The album drops October 11.
